Curried Sausages – An Aussie Fav!

Who can go past this Aussie Fav! Curried Sausages. In this recipe I will teach you how to make curried sausages from scratch! Don’t waste money on packeted badness.

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 – 13 Beef Sausages (Tasman Meats have the best for this recipe)
  • 2 large brown onion, thinly sliced into rings
  • 2 to 3 carrots, peeled and slices
  • 2 cups Chicken Stock
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoon curry powder
  • 2 tablespoons fruit Chutney

Serve with mashed potatoes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat a large fry pan to medium high heat then add a drizzle of olive oil and cook the sausages until browned. You may need to cook in batches. Once cooked remove and keep aside.
  2. In the remaining fat on the fry pan cook onions and carrot until soft, roughly 5 minutes. Then add garlic and cook for for 30 seconds. Add Curry powder and fruit chutney and stir in to coat onions and carrots.
  3. Add Chicken stock and reduce heat to a simmer. Return sausages to the frying pan, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until sauce begins to thicken.
  4. Serve on a bed of mash poatoe and enjoy!
