
This easy beef bowl will impress the whole family!
INGREDIENTS
- 500g minced beef
- 2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Mirin
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons white sugar
- 1 large onion diced
- 4 eggs, fried
- 1/2 cup Spring Onions, sliced
- 1 or 2 cups jasmine rice.
- dried fried shallots to garnish (can purchase from Asian groceries)
DIRECTIONS
- cook rice either in rice cooker of stove top.
- mix soy, Hoisin, Oyster and Mirin in a bowl and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large fry pan or wok over high heat. Add onion and cook until soft or translucent, add garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant. Then add mince beef and cook until browned.
- Once minced beef is cooked add the sauce and cook for 3 to 5 mins or until sauce has evaporated then add spring onions and stir through.
- Fry your eggs (I keep mine runny), serve minced beef with rice place egg on top and garnish with dried fried shallots. (You can also add the shallots to the meat prior to serving and stir through.
